Check Characters in Each Line

Set a Maximum Line Length

You can choose your own maximum character length using the Max length setting.

If a line contains more characters than your selected limit, the tool flags that line in the results. A line that exactly matches the maximum is not considered over the limit.

For example, with a maximum length of 20 characters:

• A 15-character line is within the limit.
• A 20-character line is within the limit.
• A 21-character line is over the limit.

This lets you adjust the checker for different writing or formatting requirements.

 Find Lines That Are Too Long
